This video below discusses Sharing a Master FIle–maybe there'll be something of in there of use.Ī later video in the same course (#22) discusses Creating Custom Share Destinations (in case that that turns out to be relevant).Final Cut Pro (now Final Cut Pro X or FCPX) is an industry-level video editing software that features a nitty interface and a wide selection of toolsets, bringing Mac users lots of possibilities to boost their piece. > For a list of the default destinations, see Intro to sharing projects in Final Cut Pro, at > Any custom destinations are deleted, and the default set of destinations appears. > Control-click in the Destinations list, then choose Restore Default Destinations. > Choose Final Cut Pro > Preferences, then click Destinations at the top of the window. Here's a suggestion that at least one person claimed worked for him (from the FCPX 10.4.7 User Guide): (Usually entry-level techs will initially insist that you reinstall everything—sometimes including the OS—but in my experience upper-level Apple techs are quite knowledgable and might have some helpful suggestions of things to try).Īpparently crashing on Export/Share (to various destinations) is a fairly common malady.
If it's a repeatable crash, you'd be more likely to find someone who can read a crash report at Apple tech support—that is, IF you can get through to an upper-level tech. Other than confirming the FCP is indeed responsible for the crash (line 8), the average user—even an expert user—is unlikely to be able to glean anything useful or specific from a crash report (apparently they're not necessarily that specific, anyway).
Nothing is working and FCPX just keeps crashing on Share.
I have reinstalled FCPX, trashed preferences, trashed Libraries, created new Libraries with new clips, run Disk Utility, repaired permissions, restarted the computer, etc. FCPX 10.3.4 crashes during File>Share>Master File.
